There is an exciting and inviting opportunity for a Ag Operations Supervisor to be based in our Hilmar Plant. The Ag Operations Supervisor will oversee primary operational aspects of our brooder ranches, lay ranches, poultry service crew, egg quality, serology, animal health, behavior and special projects. Reporting directly to the Ag Operations Manager, in this position you will be involved in and managing any and all portions of J.S. West Milling Company related to the overall egg production and farming units, brooding including processing and compliance.
Poultry Service crew oversight: Evaluate personnel and procedures during flock services, follow up with serology and vaccine takes. Develop benchmarking efficiency man hours per bird services.
General Production oversight: Evolved in special projects that may be needed throughout J.S. West Milling Company, including but not limited to the production and processing of eggs, pullets, trucking and general farming operation. Maintain, analyze, track, and report on production/project records.
Special Projects: Supervise construction projects develop timelines to measure completion dates. Understand budgets and timelines to complete projects.
Compliance: Monitor current programs and make recommendations. Participate in audits and oversee third party vendors that provide compliance service.
Prerequisites & Credential:
College degree in animal science preferred or agriculture related field or business/management, (or) 5 years of related job experience in field.
Valid driver’s license
General knowledge of mechanics, including basic welding, electrical, farm equipment such as tractors, loaders and forklifts.
Computers skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft office products.
Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen. Preform the physical activities that are require by the employees involved in the production of poultry for egg production, and egg processing. Able to lift 80 pounds.

Interpersonal skills that pertain to management of 30 or more employees.
Develop schedules that manage employees, budgets and financial needs.
Flexible schedule that allows all time of day reporting that pertains to the husbandry of animals and farming operations.
